Silhouette Cameo Thank You Card
I made this card using my Silhouette Cameo and Sugar Chic Digital Papers by Heidi Swapp, Heidi Swapp's Sugar Chic embellishment (Arrow), and I dyed the seam binding with Tattered Angels Chalkboard Mist. For the card template I used Lori Whitlock's Spin Card template from the Silhouette store. I just love how it turned out. If you spin the circle it says "Thanks", "Merci", "Grazie", "Thank You"

Window Sticker Vinyl with Silhouette Cameo
Look what I made! For those of you who don't recognize it, it's the Indiana University (where my son goes) logo. I made this out of white and red vinyl and cut it with the Silhouette Cameo.
A friend called and asked me if I could make 3" Dallas Cowboys letters to put on her husbands car window for a birthday present. I thought I'd give it a whirl. Here's what I made for her. She already had the star, though I had cut one in white for her as well.
After I made that, I tried my IU sticker. First I made the white and put it on. Then I remembered that I had some red vinyl in my stash and added the red on top of it. Now, let's hope it holds up in the rain.... let's just hope we get some rain!
Here's a picture of just the white. I think the red kicked it up a notch!

Silhouette Cameo, Mini File Folder Card based on Heidi Swapp Memory File Concept
Well you know I've just completed the Art of Observation class with Heidi Swapp. You also know that in that class we learned all about Heidi's memory file concept. I thought I'd take some of the ideas we learned in class and incorporate them into a card. I made this using Lori Whitlock's "Maggie" collection available soon at JessicaSprague.com and my Silhouette Cameo. It was really fun. I started with a mini file folder from the Silhouette Library. I hope you like it! I can see using the file folder idea as a card template in a thousand different ways!

Summer Salsa or Black Bean and Corn Salsa
I made a new recipe called "Summer Salsa", which my family always called "Black Bean and Corn Salsa". I tried a new version I found on Pinterest from "Be a Pot Stirrer". It was very different and very light from the salsa I remember. This has a very light, limey, with a hint of heat taste to it. We served it with Pita Chips. I love it. I typed up the recipe and included a picture of the batch we made.
and here is the recipe for you:

Last week of Art of Oberservation with Heidi Swapp Memory Files
Well it's week 12 and the final week of the Art of Oberservation class with Heidi Swapp. It's been a fun 12 weeks and I've learned so many fun new ideas using Heidi's Memory File System. Not to mention the "art of observation". Learning to look at life a little more positively. Here is the cover of my final "Gratitude" file. This is a file I will use to DAILY (for the next 365 days) to write down at least one thing I am grateful for each day.
This cute little paper stack was another one of Heidi's awesome ideas. Why don't I think of stuff like this??
This is my July Calendar. Heidi gave us a template and I used photoshop to fill mine in.
And a quick peak at August. I've only completed two months and I need to finish up embellishing the inside of the the folder.
One final look at the outside. I just loved this class and met so many amazing people on the Message Board. Heidi was involved in the Message Board, the Gallery and in every way. It was fun getting to chat with her. I'm going to miss this class.
