This was lesson two in Digi In Deep. I started it about two weeks ago and never finished it, so today I did the second half of the class. I like this layout. I absolutely followed her guidelines (with the exception of using landscape photos in lieu of portrait). Isn't Alex cute as a T-ball player... gosh I miss those little cheeks!

Thanks So Much
A few more cards from my Stampin'Up Card Kit by SNOWMANLOVER. I think I'm done now, but I've still got more paper left. This card kit goes a long way!
Google Reader
Do you all know about Google Reader? If you have a blogger account you've already got a Google account. If you go to Google.com/reader all of the blogs you follow are listed there, you can just scroll through and see any updates. It's really very cool. A lot like your dashboard, but more options. You can just pick a specific blog or you can pick all and it will show you all of them. Check it out if you have a chance. I am using it now and finding a lot of new things. It's already set up, you don't have to do anything, but if you want to you can add a lot of neat features.

Got my Card Kit Today!
I got my card kit from SNOWMANLOVER today. I went straight to the craft room and whipped up a few. I should've waited until I thought out what I wanted to do.. but I couldn't help myself, this kit has the cutest images with it and the colors are so springy! I've got enough left to do a lot more cards, this is just a few

Took my music off
A friend of mine told me she was having trouble on my blog with it locking up and being sluggish. She thought maybe it was the music feature because it kept stuttering when it played. I removed the music and it seemed to fix the problem, so if any of you have been having trouble with my blog, I hope this fixed it... if you're still having trouble, please let me know. I did have a large playlist on the music so that may have been the culprit.

Hoppy Spring
I think this is the most favorite card of mine that I've made. I rarely am satisfied with my cards, but I like this one. There's some obvious mistakes, but that's why it's an original...right?!? There's stitching on this card, not sure if you can see it and a lot of layering you may have to double click on the card to see the details.
You're never more than a thought away
This card was a bit out of the box for me, but I like it. I got the idea from a magazine.
I've had several questions about this card, the bird, in particular. The bird is from Stampin' Up Stamp set called Cheep Talk. I stamped it three times, once on the stamped polka dot circle (just stamped the legs), then again on the same striped paper used on the left of the card and a third time on the striped paper so I could cut the wing out and pop it up. Sentiment is also Stampin' Up. The circle is the SU circle punch and the scallop is the SU Scallop border punch. It's a standard A2 size card.

New Blog Makeover
I just redid my blog background, I hope you like it. I used the Songbird Avenue, Inc. digi kit called Port Au Prince, you can get it here. All proceeds go to benefit relief in Haiti and donations to Doctors without Borders. It's a really neat website. Each month they offer a kit with benefits going to various organizations or charities in need.
A special thanks to my friend, Kelly, she helped me tweak it. I love her style and designs, her suggestions were the finishing touch I was missing.

Challenge #8 - Book about me
Challenge #8 was the high school years. This was more of a challenge for me. I dated my ex husband all through high school and didn't want to particularly scrap him (he's a good guy and my kids dad...but he's my ex). So I just used some general photos.

Challenge #7 - Book About me
My friend came over last night and I wanted to work on something different, so I went back to my book about me project. My next challenge was #7 - Your pre-teen years. You're supposed to do a layout based on your life in elementary school. Thank you, mom, for the braces!!! WHEW! This is really not crooked, lol It's the way the paper was laying when I took the photo.

Made this card for Valentines Day. I thought it turned out kind of cute. I used more of the Valentine's Card kit I ordered from Barb. The Stamp on the front is from Stampin' Up, the inside stamp is M's $1 stamps and the hanging hearts are from the Target Dollar Bins.
Thanks for sharing your day with me

Holy Moly - Good Friends and a Glass of Wine
Just finished my hardest class yet with Jessica Sprague. Wow... she covered a lot of ground in this lesson. It doesn't look all that complicated, but there are a lot of new techniques in this layout..(at least for me). Anyway.. here it is.. These are pictures my girlfriends and I took at Tabor Hill Winery in Michigan. If you ever get a chance to go, you should, it's so gorgeous there and the wine tasting is a lot of fun.
